Age 75 - Changes

Edit - update on the timings:

Wed 16.59.59 age 74 ends ->
After this, changes are uploaded by Admin ->
Thur 18.00.00 (at the latest) Admins reset game ->
Fri 18.xx.xx Admins start game (un-pause) ->
Fri 19.00.00 first tick (at the latest).

Therefore the first tick of Age 75 will be some yet to be announced time between Thurs 18:00ST and Fri 19:00, depending on when we are able to reset the game. There will be 24hrs notice nearer the time.


There are a lot of changes so this is a summary, for more detail there is another announcement thread coming shortly which will be open as a discussion thread for asking questions.

Age 75 General changes:

• Update of CoC with further detail in point “2.4 – Confusing Names”, basically we’re aiming for regular English alphabet tribe/leader names which do not confuse the game code or other players/staff.
• There will be an “OrkEaster” event, all players will receive an in-game mail to start the event nearer the time.
• There have been further improvements in the Mobile version.
• Termato, Sonix and Bruno are no longer staff members (at least for now). As per thread in the World Forum, Mazja is not regularly checking her account. As always, please send a report to staff rather than message us individually for the quickest reply. Thanks to Bruce1984 and Kovenant who have now volunteered their time to help with staff tasks.


Start of age/life changes:
• You no longer have to press “Start Tribe Now” button at the beginning of the age as all tribes will be started automatically (unless you have no defence).
• The market no longer trades goods until your leader’s 20th birthday.
• Your goods are removed from the market if you reset before your leader's 20th birthday.
• Tribes killed or reset during the age now receive extra crowns as well as extra acres to make it easier to get back into the game (but still better not to die!).

Exploration change:
• Exploration becomes more expensive the bigger you are.

War Changes:
• You don’t win/lose fame for any war result.
• Truce automatically happens if no tribes were killed and the war time period ends.
• Anti-WarBlocking measures have been added that require a certain amount of aggression from the declaring alliance, otherwise that declaring alliance automatically lose the war with all tribes in that alliance suffering a loss of fame AND acres.

Thievery changes:
• New out of war operation that destroys food is added for thieves
• Thief self-operation gains are diminished below 2000 acres
• Your thievery page will now tell you your self-op gains



Attacking changes:
• If a tribe uses any military attack into your alliance, any tribe in your alliance can use Hit ‘n’ Run attack on any tribe in their alliance for 8 ticks/hours.

• Out of war, Pillage now destroys 4% of the target's Yards, Mines, Laboratories, Farms, rather than 5% + (land*0.01335). Note that this change results in a lot more farms destroyed by Pillage (used to be 1% + (land*0.005)).
In war, Pillage damage is fully dependent on your weaponries.
In war, Pillage has a maximum yield for 4% of the target's Yards, Mines, Laboratories and Farms; more buildings might be destroyed, but these yield no additional resources. Balrog is no exception to this rule.



Race changes:
Oleg Hai is removed and High Elf is added. This means you can choose from High Elf, Uruk Hai, Raven, Nazgul, Mori Hai, Owl, Eagle, Templar or Wood Elf
All races in play will receive changes to their stats or traits except for Templar, Mori Hai and Wood Elf .
