CD warmoded late last night. Part of KP felt this coming and turtled in time, part did not.

So they killed a poor nazzie. Due to a big 10k acre viking, there was nothing KP could do in this war anyway so they just surrendered.

kopi, January 2012

short and sweet :)

rEdL|nE, January 2012

emphasize on short :(

Bolle, January 2012, edited

It's also very truthful. And I have to say here that, although this uneven war is a direct result of CD actions, it is first and foremost a game flaw.

rEdL|nE, January 2012

yes, this is what happens when there aren't any resets.

Bolle, January 2012, edited

Btw, Joe's war system for AatW takes away some of the more obvious flaws of the current war system: the declared on get a temporary boost, and it's a matter of points rather than acres killed, which means retals are a useful exercise.

But it does not solve the huge tribe in war thing. Still, war comes after basics like market goods, heritage and science, so it might not be too bad. Especially if your science and goods that you gathered during your lifetime slowly decay away while you're waiting for the last member of your alliance to die. It means he'll do better to reset in order to save some goods.

That means the game's focus is moved from getting big and getting heritage towards proper goods/science management. It finally gives you a choice: stay big for #1 and goods, or reset to start as an alliance.

Bolle, January 2012

And don't worry, it won't happen for at least 2 more ages. Too little coders.

rEdL|nE, January 2012

I'd like to help, but I cannot during the finals. And after the finals I'm gonna need like 2 weeks to recover from the amount of alcohol I'm gonna drink when the last one is over

Plato, January 2012

It´s all about ethics...

Canadian1, January 2012

and they go back to the top where they can bash people down and make 15 noobs rage quit...what a joke...w00t now cd can watch there roadhouse patrick swayze movies and fondle themselves in the mirror...

rEdL|nE, January 2012, edited

OH Canadian ... stop hating dude :P

Bolle, January 2012

Sorry for intel sharing Scorpias.

Canadian1, January 2012

lol you say stop hating now...but they don't care, they won't help this game until it drops to the 12 of them...

rEdL|nE, January 2012

but they don't care? I'm in CD man, so I'm one of 'them'. What would help the game? Getting killed? We're just playing and enjoying the game. Now I have to excuse myself for warring????

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU NOOBS????

After we started our tribes everyone kept fameraping, trying to kill us or crusading our tribes! We just have to take all that shit to make you newbs feel better?

r0nald, January 2012

Where is the like button? [:|]

Bolle, January 2012, edited

Redline doesn't have to excuse for anything. I was right in seeing the problem, wrong for projecting it on CD. Sure, they exploit it continually (hence my “ethical” criticism), but it does nothing but highlight one of the many aspects inherited from classic that do not fit at all with the AatW concept.

Therefore, I'm going to make a call for coders to help with AatW in the Announcements along with the Age Changes for age 43. And personally I encourage anyone to start up the classic version, because the AatW version has a long way to go still before the concept works.

Frisbee, January 2012

Nicely done CD.

but fail to lose fame when i haven't started my tribe yet =/

[EM], January 2012

LOL PWNT.

KARMA POLICE >

Glancing at a certain wf threa

So, after sharing intel in this thread, you change your ally desc so that anyone should check this thread and then you talk about ethics?

I start to think EM is right ... you don't really use logic!

Bolle, January 2012

I don't know, but using language is using logic. And using an alli description to refer to a thread is a definite logical chain [:p]

rEdL|nE, January 2012

1. The study of the principles of reasoning, especially of the structure of propositions as distinguished from their content and of method and validity in deductive reasoning.
2.
a. A system of reasoning: Aristotle's logic.
b. A mode of reasoning: By that logic, we should sell the company tomorrow.
c. The formal, guiding principles of a discipline, school, or science.
3. Valid reasoning: Your paper lacks the logic to prove your thesis.
4. The relationship between elements and between an element and the whole in a set of objects, individuals, principles, or events: There's a certain logic to the motion of rush-hour traffic.
5. Computer Science
a. The nonarithmetic operations performed by a computer, such as sorting, comparing, and matching, that involve yes-no decisions.
b. Computer circuitry.
c. Graphic representation of computer circuitry.

As you can see, login doesn't only mean that you can articulate and write sentences, but they have to also make sense.

So, when in the same thread we have: intel sharing (against the CoC) & ethics brought up by the same person, I draw the conclusion that this person isn't really using logic, only nice words for some obscure, or at least bizarre, interests.

So you could summarize it like this: if you try to prove that a thesis is correct, don't post something that would make you lose credibility, by doing something even wronger.

Cheers

im staying outa this one have fun

Bolle, January 2012

Reality is often ambiguous Redline. One's own faults do not undo another's.

rEdL|nE, January 2012, edited

I agree Bolle. But when the morality-defender doesn't respect the LAWS, not the unwritten ethics code, all of his demonstration starts fading!
