yes i do remember someone talking about raze a while ago, and at the time people gave a non-committal agree/okay/whatevers, me included :p

anyways we are used to #27's tactics, it's happened before (and failed :P) and we aren't complaining.

apart from that odd all spirit age our goal has been to get to the top and stay top. if we haven't killed anyone for a while it means we didn't feel the need to. sorry [:p]

recently we KAed #27 because we felt the threat of 12 vikings. unfortunately for us we left it too late and didn't get the turn-out and some of us were hopelessly out of range. which brought about the retals. while i'm in no position to judge their strategy wasting the military of little 2k tribes, because they can't do anything else to anyone else kind of makes me want to get a puppy.

but yes rant over, hope it was mildly entertaining for non-KP-OGers :P

I understand thier strategy, it makes complete sense to me. Killing tribes that just come OOP that just restarted with 10K+ hertiage makes them weaker when they have to restart the second time. To me that makes perfect sense.

@ farnold: #27 is not killing tribes(well according to Bolle,they don't have the ability),so that was just LUCK when they killed 1 OG tribe..

@ Bolle: no one's complaining about your noobish tactics,someone just opened it up so Dev could see the comparison of damages between HnR/Raze and Raid on military loss.

well personally,I find it much lamer to see 4k/5k tribes hitting 2k/3k tribes with extremely low DPA with random attacks(HnR/Raze/Raid),did this topic pushed you to test those attacks?

after some fiddling, raze damage is the same amount of damage as raid/BC, more than standard and little less than 101% HnR. biggest problem with raze is that the military damage is same regardless if you send 50% or 100%. this is an OPed troop killing attack as you can effectively raid a tribe by sending half his defence.

this also makes it less effective as a killing tool.

my suggestion would be to halve military damage and add 50%-break=50% damage like HnR is atm, but it has to be capped as you don't want a tribe sending 50x a small tribe's defence and wiping out 50% of his army in the process [;)]

Lucky/good timing on KPs side. i was online orkfia the whole day until i decided i had to sleep for 3 hours. i woke up just in time to see receive my sad-faced email.

yea i got killed. i was a troop fat templar that got razed/grabbed to death. only took about 3 razes and a 500+ acre standard to kill a 180k+ citz, 3k acre templar.

Perhaps templars are too weak now? I mean, sure, i didnt have walls. But really, my military has constantly outnumbered my citz even in growth mode of about 300 DPA. and i had 17k fame

Also, i only had about just over 40% guilds. The rest were either for homes/markets/farms/GH. Me thinks templars are too weak now when compared to BETTER mages such as Balrog. Balrog so totally wins it hands down. In fact, i think it's the worst of the mages and the crappiest of the attackers. hmmmmmmmmmmm

okay my rant is over. didnt enjoy growing as templar anyway haha

maly, thats common from 2k-4k right now because there are so many attackers out there, everyone is having to run 375+ dpa to stay safe. its not just templars, its all attackers right now.

and templars arent too weak, balrogs are too strong. they are comparable to other attackers though, so i would say they are fine at the moment. but thats just me :P

and just for reference, when i hit 3k i was over 75% military... and im rept hai

P.S. i'd like to say i dont see many others out there with 17k fame at 3k acres.. and 300 dpa is a bit low for that size, you can expect to get grabbed with that. id run 350+ or 325 with walls.

just like to make a quick comment on what bolle said there

in 7 ages we have been playing as a alliance we have recorded 268 kills so thats roughly 38 kills per age.

in all honesty i have a soft spot for bullying #27 as they are one of the few allis that do something meaningful in retal and they don't whinge (as much :p)

haha agreed hal. Respect to #27. they are the biggest challenge compared to the rest of the alliances imo.

and btw seb we get like half our kills from Raiding resource farms. hahahahaha
