Dear fellow orkfians, in order to complete the game fix project (http://aatw-live.rob-franken.nl/forums/game/373090/dev-game-concept-fix-by-joe/0-25) we are in need of people to help coding. With help, it will be much easier to code the changes quickly and efficiently, and we'll also be able to doublecheck everything. If you want to help coding, post here; also post your expertise with coding, eg java, c++, how often you code or coded and so on, whatever it is you think we need to know. If you sign up, you could be asked to help coding. This is all on a voluntary basis. Therefore you're not obliged or anything, it is up to you whether you help in that instant or not. This thread simply serves as a database of names and expertise. There is no need to post tribe names or e-mail; since Harry runs the game he can see tribe names and send e-mails anyway. Harry will, for now, also be the one to see that matters run well. This is partially because of his expertise, partially because of his association with orkfia, and partially because of his knowledge of the code of orkfia. However, I can imagine he would like to have a second person who can help him structurally (eg know the code rather than code it) so he can go on vacation without the game crashing. This thread is not just for the game fix; I'll try to keep it updated and clean so it will be useful for years. You can always sign up to help in this thread. List of coders HaRRy (The Boss) Robokop Acwder Max_ Nimrodel Bill (HTML, CSS, Actionscript. Design work. Very limited PHP and JS) GoRgOn (c++, c#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, PHP, HTML, Java, Javascript. 3 years education, worked in the industry. Experience with Linux as well). Chonka (Web: HTML5, CSS, Javascript and jQuery, PHP on Apache with MySQL. Desk & Mobile: Java, C#, C++, C, VB.net, Perl. DB: MySQL ScorpiAS (C++, .Net (c#, vb.net and all technologies associated (asp,silverlight etc)), limited knowledge of php) rEdL\|nE (c,c++,php,perl and a bit of java. Limited on fronted crap). Helpers unknown to me (Harry knows I suppose). Please post here anyway, helps to have a list of things like this

havent programmed for about 2 years now but started programming about 8 years ago...have experience with c++, c#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, PHP, HTML, Java, Javascript, and prolly a bunch of stuff i forgot about lol...I went to school for 3 years for computer programming and have worked in the industry so I have lots of experience...I have worked on games before and have experience programming Linux...also have lots of free time right now and am willing to do whatever you guys need done

I used to do c++ in school for 5 years. Have 6 years experience with .Net (c#, vb.net and all technologies associated (asp,silverlight etc). Limited knowledge of php though...

lol Added ScorpiAS. I leave it completely up to Harry, robokop, Max and Acwder to request help from those listed here. I can tell you that, now that we have a lot more coders, the code itself is being improved. For instance, Max and Acwder have fixed about five pages of bugs in the bug tracker. Let's hope they keep it up

Hold on tight! 3 weeks now and we have a good list of coders put together. That's a great first step. We are gaining momentum, but lets keep this going before we regress to stagnation mode. Standing still < Orkspeed < Turtle drive < Mediocre mode < Mildly fast < Pretty quick < Faster-er < Super Quick < Friggin Fast < Ludicrous Speed

lol- i did html many moons ago.................... sure i knew less than what many of have forgotton-lol i did dabble a tad in php- but it was exclusively to a message board script- and it was a SIMPLE one- maybe i'll study that link with polly and see if i learn anything-
