since i dont have the power to make a poll...

wanted to know what people think about the races and whether they prefer the current path of all races being able to to everything or having them be more unique and only able to do 2 things well or 1 thing excellent with individual flavors added in?

ASeaQueue, December 2011

i prefer unique races, the variability and dynamics of the game is what kept me here

flavour > balance

lepel, December 2011

flavour most definetely!! if we went for balance then we might aswell have just 1 race that can do everything :P

Sanro, December 2011

Flavour ofcourse.

Jolten, December 2011

Making attackers only able to attack. Mages only able to mage, etcetera would be interesting . Definitely will make you think of alliance set up vs imbalances

Which is mostly how it used to be. Still 'kinda' is. I mean how many viking thieves do we see :|

CecilvonBismarck, December 2011

but the sad part is i have seen vike mags, which is an insult

CecilvonBismarck, December 2011

the point was that ive noticed over last year or 2 that the races have been getting vanillad down and wanted to see if anyone agreed with me

since most of u have hopefully we can get dev and the other higher ups to see it too

scarlo2, December 2011

new forum. er wait, was that an option?

[EM], December 2011

Agreed! These forums are good, due to the fact they get highlighted and stuff... but too much missing. Avatars, banners, polls, organization, pictures, etc. :(

[EM], December 2011

If we get some real forums ill run a Pathfinder RPG game :D

In my opinion, flavour is better. It creates more teamwork and need for each alliance members to be good.

It also forces members to use the alliance forum more because they have rely on someone else for other needs.

White Dragon
Balance can have two meanings, and giving more flavour to races also introduces more risks in losing balance (as in generating overpowered races) but indeed having viking mages isn't what we intend :)

id rather everything be OP then everything be bland, that way quality of the player determines just how OP the race is (ie the 2-3 of us that managed ML70+ with old temp)
