About 800 for the 0/9 and 1000 for the 2/8 would be my splitting the difference.

Is it fair to say that the Dark Elf +10 ML bonus is basically worthless until they've reached 1.1k? Since your ML is capped at acres nowadays? Or is that gone?

Why? What's the point of doing this? No one in their right mind would ever train a 3/5 unit for 1000cr (basic cost included) when they got a 0/5 unit for 500cr (basic cost included)

Age changes say spirits are 2/7 for 850 cr but the guide says 2/6 for 850 cr. Which one is it?

So I was just wondering before we start the age, how much easier are dark spells for DE? Do they got double success rate? Or 10% better, or?

It's not an absolute figure or a percentage. It's not as good as double success.
Dragonmage becomes as easy to cast as earthquake which in turn becomes as easy to cast as meteor storm etc .. it's a background change to the numbers in the formulas for success (which I am not sure if they are public so I wont say more..)

I dont really get the DE elite, what is the point in making it 3/5 at 900, as i see it its totally useless now.......why would any1 use it at all?
Most other races have nicely balanced troops and can build differently but the DE are in my humble opinion flawed in that regard

they will always be useless as these are thief/mage races. Elites will only be kinda useful for attackers as they have offense and also provide some defense. Rasing def would make def spec useless, raising off is silly as they are not attackers. So only option is to make them cheaper....... which is itself kinda pointless, so i like it how they are.

these units along with the DE leets are beyond useless, they are in fact a lot worse and more expensive than the other units. they are noob traps.

yeah Darkwing is correct, the thinking is that a Dark Elf is a specialist mage (unlike Wizard for example who has a bit of a broader use). Dark Elf is the best mage in the game for offensive magic and accordingly what they gain in that extreme they lose in another extreme (attacking). Also i didnt like it that their elite was better than a specialist attacker (raven). A similar kind of thought process went behind the other races and if you want to play attacker then the 4 attacker races should usually out-perform the best of the thieves and mages.
Anyway i am keeping an eye on how it is going, thanks for feedback.

see it as in real life. We have useful people (doctors, teachers etc..) and we have useless people (will not provide examples). We don't get rid of the useless ones, instead we live with them....

Really all you did was give DE the least efficient defense of all the mages. No one used 3/7 to attack with as a general rule.

Its not about lowering their attack potential rather then nist making them less efficient. With the state dark elfs are in you are presented with a choice:
1. Use the 10% extra land you have from the free ml for much needed defence
2. Become an easily killable deadly machine with lretty much one shot.

why no info, even on wiki, if HnR still need 2h more extra for general before launch another attack ? ty
